Is Deltek Vantagepoint right for a 50-person consulting firm?

Vantagepoint serves consulting firms typically in the 25–500 employee range. Below 25, lighter-weight PSA tools (BigTime, Mavenlink) often fit. Above 500, the question becomes how many entities and geographies — Vantagepoint scales there too.

What’s the difference between Deltek Vantagepoint and Deltek Vision?

Vantagepoint is the modern (2018+) successor to Vision. Same project-accounting DNA, modern UI, mobile-first time entry, embedded CRM, and a SaaS deployment option. Deltek has announced Vision support ends December 31, 2026 — every Vision shop will need to migrate, upgrade, or switch products.

How does Vantagepoint compare to NetSuite for consulting firms?

NetSuite is general-purpose ERP with a project module. Vantagepoint is project- and engagement-native — utilization, billable hours, multi-rate billing, and engagement-level profitability are the central nervous system, not a module. For firms whose business is engagements, Vantagepoint fits the workflow without customization. NetSuite typically requires custom development to reach the same depth.

What does a Vantagepoint implementation cost for a consulting firm?
