Vantagepoint implementations aren’t one-size-fits-all — and any partner who quotes without understanding your setup is guessing. Here’s what we look at before scoping a project.

User Count
10–30 users vs. 100–200 users is a material difference in licensing and configuration scope. Licensing is priced by Deltek directly and scales per seat.

Module Scope
Core Project & Billing is the common starting point. Adding Resource Planning, CRM, or Budgeting & Planning adds configuration time and training tracks.

Cloud vs. Hosted
Vantagepoint SaaS (Cloud) is Deltek’s forward roadmap and avoids server maintenance. Hosted is an option for firms not ready for full cloud migration.

Data Complexity
How many years of Vision history, how many project entities, and data quality all affect migration time. A clean chart of accounts migrates faster than a decade of workarounds.

Training Scope
BCS builds a training track per user role: PMs, accounting, principals. Firms with more roles or custom workflows need more training time before go-live.

BCS configures Vantagepoint to your billing types, labor categories, and report formats. Data migrates in parallel — your team keeps working in Vision until go-live.
8–16 weeks

Training & Go-Live
Role-based training for every user type. BCS stays on-call through your first billing cycle — the period when most issues surface. We don’t go live until your team is confident.
