Established in 1990 for the purpose of providing South Asian flavors to American homes, today, Dishaka is a full service distributor and snack manufacturer covering the globe. The ever expanding tastes of American consumers demand exciting flavors from around the world and Dishaka is meeting that demand.
Dishaka is a family run and owned company with affiliate companies located in Kuwait and India. Through their Indian contacts and affiliations, they have become one of the largest importers of Basmati rice, a type of rice that is grown primarily in the Punjab region of India. The company also imports a number of south Asian products, including a variety of Indian flours, various pastes, chutneys, nuts, oils, etc. Many of their products are available through their house brand name, Chirag.
Recently, Dishaka has begun manufacturing a variety of specialty snack foods which are sold through various grocery chains throughout the United States.
